Epoxy and concrete pile encasements to restore structural integrity and extend the service life of Brooklyn Bridge Park, Piers 2 & 5. Phoenix Marine was the general contractor and completed pile and deck rehabilitation at Piers 2 & 5 at Brooklyn Bridge Park in Brooklyn, New York. The work consisted of preventative epoxy and structural concrete pile encasements at over 6,600 piles and 2,100 sf of structural underdeck repairs. All work was completed in accordance with the contract documents and governing regulations. The project was located along the Buttermilk Channel in the East River. The Park is an active facility and no construction staging operations were permitted on the pier decks. All work was performed from barges, which included work along the edge of the Buttermilk Channel. All construction operations were coordinated with and completed in conformance with USCG regulations.
